The Colors of the House
The prints made Samantha Sung famous. The colors came first. "First I developed many solid colors," Samantha says. "I probably have like 30 different solid colors." The same silhouettes her prints are loved in, cut in feather-light Musola and silk, made to order one dress at a time.
A solid is not the absence of a print. With nothing to draw the eye, the color carries the dress, and her color is handwork. "Everything is hand dyed," she says. "We do hand thread and hand dye. So it takes a lot of work to make one dress." Each shade is refined until it holds depth in any light, designed to move with the silhouette it was made for.
"Everybody has their favorite color. That's why I want to offer like a rainbow."
The Audrey
The signature. Classic 1950's inspired, button all the way front, right for any occasion.
The signature, and the deepest bench of color in the house: Admiral Blue, Shirting Blue, Indigo, Ivy Green, Jade, Khaki, through to White and Black. Cotton Stretch when you want structure, Musola and silk when you want air. Women remember how a color makes them feel long after they forget its name; most of them find that color here first.

No. A print can carry a dress; a solid has nowhere to hide, so every detail matters more. The color is developed by hand until it holds depth in any light. "Everything is hand dyed," Samantha says. "So it takes a lot of work to make one dress."
"That's why I introduced a lot of blues in my collection, because that's the unique color." Ask which one to start with and the house answers from experience: "Blue we sell the best is Porcelain Blue, cobalt blue." In the solids, Admiral Blue leads.
"It's very easy to match with any accessory. You can take any colors." Her personal rule is white: "Everybody owns white accessories."
